CarMax plans to lease about 26,000 square feet in a mixed-use commercial building in the historic Lady Byrd Hat building located at 140 Virginia St. along the Canal Walk. The building has been used as a concert venue and various other commercial purposes including offices. CarMax plans to put between 80 and 120 employees there, nearly all IT and digital jobs.
